Reaching the south end of the island is essential, going past its endless sand beaches and leaving Morro Jable behind. Heading for Puertito de la Cruz you will see the shape of this lighthouse, which has been guiding the sailors for a long time. Its slender shape is worth a stop-off. Only a dozen families reside permanently in Punta de Jandía, a true paradise in which time seems to stop, even if less and less, because of the growing presence of visitors who spend the day enjoying the landscapes, walks and, overall, of the exquisite local cuisine, like “caldo de pescado”.
