Almogrote, pâté-shaped gummy delicacy

The almogrote is ideal as an entree or simply as a snack during the day. Its origin comes from the need to take advantage of the remains of cheese that were not used for fresh consumption, hence the basis of this is this important local food.
The almogrote is made with goat cheese, hot pepper, olive oil and garlic. The resulting pate-shaped dough melts in the mouth and usually has a slightly spicy touch. Our recommendation is to spread it on toasted bread and accompany it with a glass of La Gomera wine.
